Of all the sci-fi series, Netflix has been gluing the fans with its sci-fi/fantasy series, The Umbrella Academy. It is one of my favorite series, but it left quite a few unanswered questions post-Umbrella Academy Season 3.
And these questions keep the fan club dipping into the thoughts and prolonged assumptions of why, how, and where!!
The Umbrella Academy Season 3
The story showcases the era of 1989, one casual day when 43 babies were born to women who had no signs of pregnancy a day prior. Such an unexplainable event where women who were nowhere connected delivered infants.
Seven of the lot are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire who excels in the field of industries. He is the creator of the Umbrella Academy, whose focus is to prepare and gear up these children to save the world.
The Family Succumbs
The family falls apart when these children are in their teenage years. Years pass, and now we jump to the present era where the family reunites on the news of Mr. Hargreeves’s passing. The kids got together to solve the mystery of their father’s death.
But this reason wasn’t strong enough to keep the family of such divergent personalities together. The estranged family succumbed to the varying abilities of its children. As if this was not enough that a significant threat of global apocalypse is on the verge of hitting.
The story plot of the series is quite intriguing. But with the drop of season 3, many questions have been hitting the fans quite hard and forcing them to ponder.
Let us have a look at those burning questions from Umbrella Academy Season 3:
Umbrella academy’s wealth. Where is it coming from?
It took a good time to portray that The Umbrella Academy is not soothing on its finances and is facing a cash crunch. But with all the lavish expenses by the people of The Umbrella Academy Season 3, we are forced to ponder where the money is coming from.
We wonder how the Sparrow Academy got its name
Reginald was never the one who gave names to the kids; in fact, it was Grace, their android mother, who did the needful. While the Grace of Sparrow Academy is more robotic and thus less loved, and maybe she was the one who gave the names before she was turned from a motherly figure to just another robot.
Korean and Spanish are known languages by Ben and Diago. Really?
Reginald was never considered a caring father, so he definitely wouldn’t have taught Ben and Diago the Korean and Spanish languages they resort to when angry. So who is behind their cultural upliftment?
Five got a tattoo – But Why?? And What About The Commission??
Five saw his future where he is dying with that tattoo on his chest because Lila ejects him from the iron lung. But he goes for this tattoo, despite knowing the future of it. Also, the Temps Commission establishment stays unclear.
Luther carried Moon Rock for three seasons – But why?
Luther never cherished his time spent on the moon, so why would he always carry the rock with him..? The fans are still wondering.
Klaus’ power upgrade – why and what was it?
Assuming that this would have given Reginald an upper hand over Klaus, he could use his alternate universe son someday to his benefit.
There are many more questions from The Umbrella Academy Season 3. We are in hopes that sooner we shall get soul-satisfying answers to the same.
